Current Board Members

Sonya Wytinck, Prime Minister

Sonya started playing Ultimate in 1998. After moving to Madison, WI from her native Canada she met some ultimate players who needed women for their team and were willing to train a soccer player. The spirit of the game won her over. She moved to Boulder and started playing GRU league in 1999. Since 2005, she has taken on the responsibility of ordering GRU league shirts, discs and prizes as well as managing the league feedback surveys. Sonya joined the board in 2009 and took on the role of President in 2010.

Jacob Marienthal, Vice President

Jacob joined the board in 2007 and took on the role of VP in late 2009.

Erin Peden, Secretary

Erin started playing Ultimate in 1996 while attending the University of California, Davis. After moving to Boulder for graduate school Erin began playing in GRU leagues in 2003. Since 2006, he has been captaining B league teams, organizing teams to attend local tournaments, and enjoying the local Ultimate community. Erin joined the board in 2009 and took on the role of Secretary in late 2009.

Kelda Klingmueller, Treasurer

Kelda’s first ultimate experience began in 2003 with GRU league where she immediately felt the camaraderie and community deeply rooted within the players and league. Living abroad and traveling for a few years showed Kelda the value of having ultimate to connect people to one another. She hopes GRU continues to unite long time Boulder-rites with those just wandering into town. Kelda joined the board in 2010, taking on the role of Treasurer.

Joe Mulder, Youth Program Coordinator

Joe started playing ultimate in 2005 after moving to Boulder and was drawn into the sport through the positive, spirited community found in league. Joe volunteered as Tournament Director for the Colorado Cup in 2009 and in 2010 while simultaneously starting GRU’s youth program. He continues to play league, tournaments and on club teams. Joe joined the board in 2011 and took on the role of Youth Program Coordinator.
