Mark Bloomfield, President

Mark started playing Ultimate in 1990, and moved to Boulder in 2003, knowing that he could find a great community by playing Ultimate. He joined the board in 2004, serving as commissioner of tournaments, before becoming president in 2006. Mark was also the tournament director for the 2006 High School Western Championship.

Elisabeth “e.” Bowman, Vice President

Elisabeth grew up in Fort Collins and started playing Ultimate in Boulder in 2001. She joined the board in 2003. She assists the board with policy development, outreach, and internal communications. Elisabeth also initiated and led the Captains’ Forum and the Women’s Forum.

Stephanie Kelsey, Secretary

Stephanie moved to Boulder in 1992 and has been playing Ultimate since 1998. She has assisted in youth outreach Ultimate clinics at various schools in the Boulder Valley School District, helped initiate and lead the women’s clinic in fall 2001, and ensures field access for league. Stephanie has played on women’s and coed club teams. She has been a member of the board since 2000.

Jenny Nunemacher, Treasurer

Jenny started playing Ultimate at Carleton College in 1991. She moved to Boulder in 1995, primarily because of the Ultimate community. Jenny joined the board in 2004 and has been managing the organization’s finances since that time. She plays coed league and in a few select tournaments.

David Zuckerman, At-Large Member

David joined the board in 2005.

Jim Piccolini, At-Large Member

Jim moved to Boulder in 1997 and started playing Ultimate that fall. Jim’s met his wife Tanya Ramond through the sport, and was pleased when her sister Lisa Kistner and Lisa’s husband Gavin Kistner moved here and joined GRU as well. Jim and Tanya’s toddler Julian will join league play this summer, having perfected his hammer during his first year. Jim has enjoyed the competition and camaraderie of league since 1997. He was happy to begin membership with the conduct committee in Spring of 2006 and now to join the board in February of 2008.

Caroline Mitchell, At-Large Member

Caroline Mitchell originally hails from the far away land of Ft. Collins and has lived in Boulder since 1997. While attending CU, she played the non-ultimate sport of rugby. Caroline started playing Ultimate in 2006 and has thoroughly enjoyed the community and the sport ever since. A true tree hugger from the start, Caroline is helping GRU move toward Zero Waste.
